COVID-19 

Cloud 9 Acupuncture Covid-19 Pandemic Policies: 05/16/2020

- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some health screening questions. We also ask that you take your temperature prior to coming in for your appointment. If you are feeling ill or have an elevated temperature, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible and reach out to your primary care provider.

- For the protection of other patients and our staff, we ask that all patients wear a face covering for their appointment. I will also be wearing a face covering during your treatment. If you don’t have a mask, one can be provided for you for a nominal fee.

- Please leave shoes outside the studio space and wear socks.

- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places throughout the office for you to use as needed.

- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you're offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

-We are requesting an additional Covid-19 informed consent form to be completed prior to treatment. Electronic submission of your consent must be received prior to your appointment. 

-All payments must be done electronically through our website prior to your appointment. If you have a package we will let you know prior to your service. 

I am looking forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every client, safe in our practice.

Cloud 9 Acupuncture will continue to be closed through May 26th following Governor Evers “safer at home” guidelines. Your safety and the well-being of your families, is paramount during this unprecedented time. I’m confident that we will come out of this experience a stronger and more resilient community than we went in. Thank you for your continued support and love! I miss you all so much!

In response to today’s declaration of a national emergency and the mandatory closing of all Wisconsin schools, we have decided to temporarily close Cloud 9 Acupuncture as well, effective today, Friday, March 13th.

It is better to proactive than reactive, and “a pinch of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” The criteria we used in making this decision is based on what is best for all of our patients and our community as a whole.

We will monitor the situation and will hopefully return to regularly scheduled appointments on Saturday April 11th. If you have an appointment currently scheduled during this time, we will reach out to you to reschedule.

To my knowledge there have been no diagnosed cases of COVID-19 in the Cloud 9 community. Hopefully, testing will continue to improve at the local and national level to help safeguard our community.

Closing now helps relieve the pressure on our local health professionals, helps reduce the spread of the virus, and reduces the danger to those members of our community who are most vulnerable. We all have to work together, now more than ever.

Dear Patients,

Wisconsin's sixth diagnosed coronavirus (COVID-19) patient has now been confirmed, with two of those cases located in Dane County. We want to take a moment to reassure you that we are working to reduce the risk of transmission at CLOUD 9. The World Health Organization and the United States Department of Health and Human Services have both declared COVID-19 officially as a pandemic and a public health emergency.

Clinic Policies
As we work in cooperation to contain the spread of the virus, we ask that you please call and reschedule your appointment if ANY of the following apply to you: 

Fever:  Dry Cough: Shortness of Breath/Difficulty Breathing

At this time, the CDC believes that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 days after exposure.

Exposure within the last 2 weeks to someone to whom the above applies or have visited a "hot zone" within or outside the United States.

Recent contact by yourself or family members to a hospital where the virus is being treated and contained.

If any of these apply to you, we ask in agreement with the WHO and the CDC, that you stay home, call your doctor, your local health department, or the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-722-5725 and self-quarantine. If your symptoms are severe, please seek medical care right away and alert the medical facility in advance to your impending arrival.

If the above does not apply to you, we are happy to see you in the clinic. 

Per our usual policy, we ask that you leave your shoes outside our main entrance, at the top of the stairs. As an additional precautionary measure, we are asking you to hand wash vigorously with warm water and soap for minimally 20 seconds upon arrival to the clinic.

Please know that we are taking extra measures of prevention as well, in accordance with guidelines provided by the CDC, the WHO and the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA).

Coronavirus, so-called for its corona-like shape, is an umbrella term that includes diagnoses ranging in severity from the common cold all the way through SARS. COVID-19 is a “novel” coronavirus, which means it had not previously been identified in humans, so treatment is being developed as people move through the stages of illness.
